Sustainability

What makes our brand sustainable?

Credo strives to have a low environmental impact and high social responsibility with an aim to bring about a positive change in the harmful practices of the fashion society. We believe in transparency.

Our Materials

All the materials we use are innovative leather alternatives made of plant and fruit waste that are a better choice for a better future. Each one unique in its own way but with the common focus.

Pinatex, an innovative non-woven textile made from pineapple leaf fibres, with the aim to meet the challenges of our times by developing innovative products in which commercial success is integrated with, and promotes social, ecological and cultural development.

Frumat, a bio-based leather alternative made partly from discarded apple peal driven by the need to manage waste more effectively while reducing ecological impact.

Credo is proud to be among the first brands over the world to work with these materials and in the near future will be working with similar other interesting materials.

Our Production

We refrain from having seasonal and trend-based collections instead believe in timeless classic collections. We produce every bag with a lot of love and like to take our time to develop and improve our bags. Modelling circularity, our approach is to manufacture in batches and encourage pre-orders to overcome the need to overproduce and then discount to get rid of the stock.

Packaging

Every Credo bag comes packed in beautiful boxes that are recyclable and dust bags that are made of cotton. Our packaging is 98% plastic-free and we are proud to be using 100% compostable mailers that turn in soil once degraded.
